[Download for iPhone](https://apps.apple.com/app/id6741608488) · [See the plans](https://toly.app/pricing/) ## From one word to a finished card 1. **Type anything**: A word, a phrase, a concept, or a question: in your language or the one you’re learning. 2. **Toly reads it**: It tells a word from a concept or a question, and picks the right kind of card. 3. **The back is written**: Meaning, example, and pronunciation, or a clear explanation, or a short answer. 4. **It comes back on time**: Spaced repetition schedules the card right before you’d forget it. ## What’s on the back of a word card Every language card is built around the word you’re learning: its meaning, how to say it, the part of speech, a natural example with a translation, and a few synonyms and antonyms. - Pronunciation you can hear with one tap. - Examples that sound like real speech. - Synonyms and antonyms to widen your vocabulary. **resilient**, /rɪˈzɪl.i.ənt/ · adjective (English vocabulary) - Meaning: Able to recover quickly after something difficult. - Example: “Kids are more resilient than we think.” - Synonyms: tough · adaptable - Antonyms: fragile · weak ## Concepts and questions, too Not learning a language? Type a concept like “cognitive dissonance” and Toly explains it in plain words, with an example. Type a question and you get a short, clear answer. **Cognitive dissonance** (Psychology 101) - In short: The discomfort of holding two beliefs (or a belief and an action) that don’t fit together. - Example: Someone who values health keeps smoking, then tells themselves “it’s only a few a day.” - Why it matters: People often change a belief, not the behaviour, to make the discomfort go away. ## Type in either language Learning Spanish? Type “tired” or “cansado”, both work. Toly uses Google Gemini to write cards. Your words are sent only to write the card and are not used for advertising. ### How many AI cards can I make? 3 a day on the free plan. Toly PRO gives you unlimited AI autofill. ### Can I edit what the AI wrote? Yes. Open any card and change the front or the back. You can also turn AI off and write the back yourself. ### Does AI card writing work offline? No. Writing a card with AI needs a connection.
