The rules for using Toly, in plain words.
These terms apply when you use the Toly app and the toly.app website. By using Toly, you agree to them.
1. The service
Toly is a flashcard app that uses AI to write cards and spaced repetition to schedule reviews. We may change, add, or remove features over time.
2. Your Apple ID
Toly uses Sign in with Apple and stores your data in iCloud. You are responsible for keeping your Apple ID secure.
3. Subscriptions and free trial
- Toly offers a free plan and a paid subscription, Toly PRO, billed monthly or yearly through the App Store.
- A free trial, when offered, turns into a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can manage or cancel them in your iPhone’s Settings.
- Payments, renewals, and refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store’s terms.
4. AI-generated content
Cards written by AI can contain mistakes. They are study aids, not professional, medical, legal, or financial advice. Check important information against a reliable source. You can edit any card.
5. Your content
You own the words and cards you create. You give us permission to process them only as needed to provide the service, for example, to send your text to our AI provider to write a card.
6. Acceptable use
Please don’t use Toly to break the law, to create harmful or abusive content, to interfere with the service, or to try to access systems or data you’re not allowed to.
7. Our content
The Toly app, name, character, design, and website are owned by Toly and protected by intellectual property laws.
8. Ending use
You can stop using Toly at any time. We may suspend access if these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken.
9. Disclaimers
Toly is provided “as is”. We work to keep it reliable, but we can’t promise it will always be available or error-free.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, Toly is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. If we do, we’ll change the date above. Continuing to use Toly means you accept the updated terms.
